The vast majority of our customers are seeking pain relief caused by rheumatism, arthritis and a plethora of other challenges. The Curatron 2000 excels in its ability to relieve pain. One of the things I always find interesting is the Curatron’s ability to help peoples pets. It’s not unusual to here that someone’s dog or perhaps horse (see http://www.therahorse.com) has benefited from a Curatron system.  The skeptics out there cannot say that a horse or dog has been healed or helped because of the placebo effect.

Sometime ago I was reading a letter from a satisfied Curatron customer who had upgraded from an older technology PEMF machine called the Magnetotron. I was amazed to find out that this device may still be in production. There are and have been several machines over the years that require the user to sit inside a coil rather than on a simple flat pad or mattress. These arcane devices are difficult to use and tend to generate weak magnic fields.

The older coil system such as that used by the Magnetotron coil generate localized fields inside the coil itself. Full body coverage without moving the coil is impossible.

Heavier folks find the coils to be difficult to get into and they can make one feel a little clausterophobic. Even MRI systems today are moving to Open MRI to reduce the feeling of being closed in and allow their systems to fit those wider folks who simply just don’t fit in the older MRI tunnels.

The Curatron is also available with high energy pad about 20″ x 28″ that delivers a 300 Gauss (400 Gauss in the PC model) induction level. This is unparalleled performance and is not available with any other system on the market today.

Many years ago I came home late from work and my wife had put a note on the fridge. It read “Welcome Home - Your dinner is in the dog!” It seems that I’ve always known of a woman’s soft spot for the family dog.

Sometimes you need to replace your old Curatron! Yesterday I received a phone call from a woman who purchased her C2000HT back in June of 2007. Her dog Amber Dawn, has been sharing her Curatron 2000HT (Home Therapy) machine for some time now and it’s time to buy a new machine for herself. Her Collie suffers from back pain and she decided to let the dog give the Curatron 2000 a try and the dog’s mobility improved.

Our customer saw this as a chance to upgrade and purchase the higher power Curatron 2000 XP (with full mattress) for herself and leave the C2000-HT set up for her dog permanently. This is not the first time we’ve had folks order a second Curatron but it is the first time that I know of that their original machine was passed on to the family dog.

The scaphoid and navicular are two names for the same bone. This small bone is entirely within the wrist joint. (The navicular is now used almost exclusively to describe a bone in the foot).

Who gets this fracture?
In adolescents and young adults, fracture of this bone is the most common fracture around the wrist. Men are ten times more likely to fracture this bone than women. Although the bone is small, it takes a lot to break it. Oddly enough, twice as much force is required to break the scaphoid bone as to break one of the bigger forearm bones. Because of this, most patients who have broken their scaphoid have done it while participating in sports, such as football, basketball, riding a motorcycle or in an automobile accident. Usually the patient falls on the outstretched hand and hyperextends the wrist joint.

I came across a posting at Ben Philipson’s blog about the use of the Curatron and treatment of the Scaphoid bone so I thought I would share it with you.

We are successfully using Curatron PC units in our Pain Clinic for over 4 years. The Curatron machine is just wonderful and amazing. As a therapist who always tries new products on myself to ascertain how it works, before trying it on patients. The back problem I have had for 7 years has been cured with 5 daily sessions of using the machine. I have had on and off pain in my right sacro-iliac joint for seven years, which has been more or less constant in the past year and becomes worse with prolonged walking. I did every thing I know to do as a physiotherapist and do get pain relief, but not complete elimination of the pain. After many years of suffering from very painful knees, I finally decided to do something about it and purchased the Curatron system. At the start I did some experimenting and I have now settled for program 3. My pain level is definitely much less than it was a few months ago when I started on the Curatron. The only things I have changed in life are starting to use the Curatron and taking cod liver oil. I am convinced that the Curatron does the actual part of the pain reduction.

My name is Deni Stewart and I have fibromyalgia. This syndrome, as FM has been labeled, has completely changed my life and definitely not for the better. The constant pain has been so much of a disabling factor that I can no longer function normally. One of the many facets of FM is something I commonly call “body hum”. I was very surprised by my personal experience. I am a fervent sportsman and train daily but often suffer from painful ulceration on my feet, for which I use sometimes some ointment. After a long company holiday in January I returned to our freezing office and could not endure that my feet were numbed with the cold. We are having very good success with the equipment. Our success rate is between 87-90% and we see remarkable results in our patients. The equipment is easy to operate does not take up more space than a small computer desk. The clients find it quite comfortable and enjoy their quiet time while they are being treated. We only have one center right now but are in the middle of planning to set up a new second clinic in a more populated area with a couple of systems.
