How NOT to sell PEMFT.
I came across an interesting read at http://sonomasun.thmm.com/?p=7766 a couple of days ago. The article demonstrates go foolish some companies can be when selling PEMFT products. The BEMER mentioned in this article simply has no significant power (more than a thousand times less than the Curatron 2000 family of systems and one simply cannot feel the effect when one lies on the BEMER mattress.
The writer of the article linked above said ” I gave the bio-electric magnetic energy regulation – or BEMER – a try, a black mat that was supposed to recalibrate my capillaries. The rep turned it on and I lay there just waiting. When I told her I couldn’t feel anything, she smiled and said, “Most people don’t.” At three thousand dollars, that’s a whole lot of nothing. I thanked her and went on my way.”
See http://www.pemfsite.com/?p=63 for a discussion about the power of some of the PEMF systems on the market today.
This is typical of low power PEMF systems. I have to admit that not everyone feels the effect of the Curatron 2000 immediately but most after a minute or two begin to feel a mild euphoric effect as their arteries open up, the body warms and the full effect of a powerful PEMF system is felt.
I myself notice very little when using the mattress, perhaps, I’m just a person a little less sensitive than many others. BUT; When I turn on one of the high energy coils on my foot for Plantar Fasciitis or my lower back when I have back pain, the effect is almost instantaneous.
The other systems on the market simply have insignificant power and create virtually no magnetic field. Thank God for the placebo effect or no one would benefit from one of the low power systems.
